Gilded Gardens

Fall fashion is upon us, and we're already starting to see gold, accompanied by some cold. Gardens with golden greenery call for gilded webs, plush pink fur, and Emerald & Palm. A burgeoning brand bringing back the Golden Age, E & P garments are classic and clever, effortless and elegant, and exude Old Hollywood Opulence.

Today's Art Deco Autumn inspired look features Emerald & Palm's 'Nicole' dress in winter white. The Nicole is a staple - simple in lines, but over the top in sophistication and style. Extremely versatile, with it's voluptuous silhouette, the Nicole can be styled a million different ways...now that's smart!

The Nicole is available in sleeveless, as well as long sleeves , and both are available in either classic black, or white. The sleeveless Nicole is not only stunning in the Spring / Summer seasons, but it works wonders in the winter. Sometimes layering coats and capes can appear bulky, but without sleeves, it leaves room for some glamorous gloves, opera length style!

One of my main struggles with colder climates is not only staying warm, but comfy! I'm over the moon happy that the Nicole Dress is made of ponte fabric, so I can feel comfy & cozy, even with the glitz & glam. Another bombshell bonus point is the structured mock neck, as seen on many of my favorite starlets, especially Marilyn Monroe. Finished with a kick pleat, the Nicole Dress is a nostalgic nod to styles seen on the silver screen of the past.

The possibilities with the Nicole Dress are endless, but today I opted for white and gold, with a pop of pink. This dress shape looks particularly sharp with some pointed toe stilettos (especially gold). Feeling festive for fall, I dressed up the Nicole with a golden body necklace featuring a spiderweb. Our shop The Pink Collar Life, carries all of your pastel faux fur needs! Click here for some pretty pink fluff.

Blue Bunny

It's trouser time - accessorized with some dainty daisies, and blue bunnies!

This outfit consists of Vivien of Holloway's blue daisy gingham top & my favorite VOH staple, the swing trousers in classic cream. I picked my cute & comfy Streetzies blue bunnies for some garden glamour, and pretty pinup style with a whimsical feel <3

Paper Moon Vintage

Today we're taking you inside one of the best LA vintage shops, Paper Moon Vintage. Located in Los Feliz (and right down the street from the Tiki Ti) this little gem is much more than just your typical vintage shop, as it offers not only the finest vintage fashions, but photography pop up booths, and various vintage events that truly bring you back in time.

Paper Moon is everything we love, making it a one stop shop for the Pink Collar Life as it combines art, history, fashion and photography all throughout your vintage shopping experience. The name "Paper Moon" comes from early song and film, but implies a novelty photography process popularized in the 20's-30's, but also dating back much earlier...

"The year 1900 saw changes with the postal system, making it possible to easily send postcards for the first time. This, combined with new and easier photographic printing processes, saw the sudden boom in real photo postcards. Photo studios came up with all kinds of backdrops for folks to send their photo to loved ones, and sitting on a moon was one of the more popular portraits. Without TV, there was a stronger fascination with the moon in those days -- this is reflected in the countless romantic images from the past and the songs about the moon."
 - explains Nicole Loretta, owner via PMV

As Nicole's moon photograph collection grew, she became more fascinated and introduced the idea of this concept at an event, and soon after it became a hit. Be sure to check the PMV calendar for the next pop up event

Edwardian, Victorian, Art Deco, Mid-century, you name it - Paper Moon has it, making it very unique.

With pieces from the 1900's-1950's, you can find a huge selection a dresses, jewels, handbags, hats, shoes, linens, lingerie, and just about any vintage accessory you fancy in any era

Red Velvet Cupcake

Jools Couture makes any vixen feel extra Va-Va-Voom in velvets lined with lush pink Parisienne puffs, and rich and romantic tones. Today's ensemble is the oh-so decadent Screen Siren Rouge Velvet set, featuring a high waisted pencil skirt, and a cropped jacket.

This set is Screen Siren indeed, with scarlet velvet trimmed with french faux fur, in the richest shade of peachy pink. My favorite color combination has to be passionate pink & red, and this glorious getup checks all my boxes for a look oozing with Old Hollywood Glamour! I put on my peach "pinups" (Louboutin) and popped some pink champagne at the sweetest place of all, Madonna Inn.

Feeling festive for fall, I couldn't wait to bring out this fancy fur piece, reminding me of my favorite decadent desserts! This room at Madonna Inn is beyond pink, with whimsical door trims dusted with gold, gilded swan faucets, and floral mirrors and wall pieces featuring rustic, retro roses. What a perfect place to debut this set <3

Sending fabulous fall greetings from the Tall & Short Room!
