Victorian Garden

"While gardens have been around since Eden, it was during the Victorian period that they became popular. With the embellishment of refined flowers and elegant outdoor flora, the charm of a garden’s inherent beauty became intertwined in the décor of furniture, wall coverings and paintings. This lovely room is filled with the embodiment of Victorian influence...a truly timeless era."

An accurate and true depiction of the marvelous mauve, and dusty pink color palette in this dainty and delicate suite at The Madonna Inn. With plush pink carpet, floral fixtures, and whimsical wallpaper, the Victorian Garden will always hold a part of heart!

Just to be prepared, I brought a rainbow of pink shoes for my stay, which made me feel right at home, and happened to match harmoniously. With furniture of tufted velvet and a gilded mirrored boudoir cabinet to die for, it was hard to say goodbye to this Garden!

The perfect dress for the occasion, was a mauve silk dress from the 1940s, complete with carved floral buttons and signature 40s flutter sleeves. This dress is straight out of a fairy tale, with its sweetheart bustline, extra nipped waist and darting, and mid calf, a-line skirt complete with a bow tie in the back.

Sure to make an appearance is our own Betty's Boa in Pink Cocoa <3
