Retro in Rouge

The Thea Red Prom Dress from The Pretty Dress Co. is one of those dresses that suits any occasion. Though the word "prom" is in the title, this dreamy dress can be styled in numerous different ways, from casual glam, to over-the-top. Today, i'll be showing you a little mix of both, with a classic 1950s theme.

Sometimes less is more, and some little statement pieces can go a long way to really make an outfit pop! Speaking of pop, what a perfect setting for Thea, in this Coca Cola diner with original fixtures and nostalgia. The Thea is made of the most ideal shade of lipstick, cherry red, and of the softest luxe twill fabric. Though soft, the structure of the Thea is completely high quality, with immaculate tailoring to accentuate the goods. Just like us, it's clear that The Pretty Dress is immensely inspired by Golden Age fashions. This off the shoulder, fabulously fitted, racy rouge dress is reminiscent of the ones worn by glamour girls of the bygone era!

Red is a romantic and daring shade that looks even richer when accented with silvers or gold. To go along with the Mid-Century bombshell style of Thea, I added some atomic accessories, including some of our very own, found in our shop. The Stardust, is a glittering gold star confetti lucite clutch, with star embellishments. Of course, the Starlet Diamante Earrings and the Mid Century Starburst Bracelet were just the things to pair with my star studded ensemble, along with a vintage golden sunburst brooch.
