Pink Gingham and a Puppy

Spring is in the air, and it's sunny and beautiful weather here in Southern California. What better reason to take the pup for a stroll! Tara has two adorable long haired Chihuahuas, just like Jayne Mansfield's and they are quite the pinup pups as well. The neighborhood is filled with unique and adorable little vintage homes and apartments, each with it's own character. I particularly love this sweet canary yellow 1950's unit.

One of my favorite prints that I wear regularly is gingham, and I fell in LOVE with this design by Le Palais, from Miss Winny. If i'm not wearing strictly vintage I like wearing a vintage inspired piece that is actually authentic to that era in design and structure. Pieces like that are very hard to come by unfortunately. After buying/wearing/or selling vintage for years like Tara & I, you come to appreciate the little details and it's hard to settle for less.

Miss Winny's pieces totally knocked it out of the park, especially this darling little pink number. The fabric is of the best quality durable cotton, with sweet white eyelet trim adorned over an incredibly authentic pattern. From the inside out, the quality of sewing is true to that of a 1950's playsuit, complete with a dainty tie at waist and elasticized leg openings. The pink color is the cherry on top, but it's so perfect that I want one in every color under the sun. I paired it with my original 1950's lucite platforms, just as Marilyn & Jayne would! A playsuit on a sunny day wouldn't be complete without a vintage scarf and my favorite vintage cateye sunglasses. I'll be wearing this all summer long!

Winny's item are only available for purchase here
